Allyn Cantor is a mixed media artist who has worked with several mediums including painting, drawing, found objects, resin and fiber. Her most recent pieces are fabric based works that combine dyed, painted, printed and found fabrics into sewn and embroidered assemblages. These works are characterized by juxtaposing layers of surface texture and the occuring fluidity of linear motion created by loose threads.
